I was having issues with playback in Frodo, so I thought I’d try Raspbian with XBMC built over top. It seems like RaspBMC will someday morph into linXBMC, so I wanted to get a feel for what it was like beyond RaspBMC.
Building XBMC on my own was quite difficult and time consuming, so instead, I resorted to Michael Gorven’s tutorial.
To get on some RaspBMC test builds, follow these instructions by dom and miappa. Performance has been really smooth so far, so I’m not in a rush to get on today’s update.
